so you see, will started as probably the most normal kid you could ever meet. good student, great person, just generally nice to be around. he had a pretty normal life until his freshman year in high school. one of his best friends were getting bullied. the kid had a disease that left his body crippled but the kid was smart and capable. naturally will stood up for his friend. the argument grew until it was a full out brawl. will was against it - he didn't want to get into fights 'cause to him they were useless. but the bully kept egging him on until will burst. literally. his chest ripped open and a blazing fire escaped, the students that had congregated fled, the bully was nearly cornered. will fell unconcious. eventually the fire died down and paramedics got to the scene, but the explosion had left from his mouth to the top of his abdomen tarnished. he was in recovery for a year, then therapy for two more after that. will had lost the power of speech and had to learn to talk again, harder than learning as a toddler. his parents forbade him to go back to school, so they home schooled will and his younger brother connor.
 
connor was his new best friend. everyone had abandoned him, thinking him a danger. he was. he couldn't even try to talk to them. connor was also his "translator" in a sense and helped him with anything the doctors or anyone else needed. but connor had powers of his own and was offered a school to go to for special people. will was invited too, but he didn't want to hurt anyone else. after a few years connor convinced him to go, that he would make sure nothing bad happened. easy for him to say, he had a safe power. another incident happened that left people avoiding will. even in a place full of freaks he was an outcast.

*for the possible confusion with his likes and dislikes. he likes spring and summer because it is a time of renewal and new life - like him. he regenerates his body. he dislikes autumn and winter because that is a time of dying and sadness. he likes the cold because he is overheating all the time due to his power, and doesn't like the heat for obvious reasons.

the first one was from today. i was bored in sixth period (french) so why not?
the second which i posted last night was from friday at my performance of a play i was in.
the first bottom one was from one of the rehearsals. i am voldemort since i have no nose.
the middle was just one random morning in the cafeteria waiting for friends to come.
and the last one was on sept 1 in my hogwarts robes. hufflepuff all the way!

carrie is an only child. she grew up getting whatever she wanted, but not in the spoiled way. she loved her parents and didn't understand why some people had bad relationships with theirs. when carrie was nine, her and her father had gone out on a "date" for valentines day, a normal tradition for them, and her mother had work at the hospital. the happy day turned into a tragedy due to a massive car crash. the impact had the two in critical care and they were sent to the hospital where her father died within minutes. normally the parent left over would shut themselves out and ignore or deprive the child. carrie's mom grew even closer to her, trying to make up for the lack of a parent. she taught her how to be strong, not show weakness when it is inevitable.
 
the accident left carrie's immune system at incredibly low levels of functioning. every year there was some different cause for hospitalization. carrie was intrigued to learn what the docotrs were talking about, and her mother taught her the basics and specifics about being a doctor. it made her feel safer, knowing what was going on with her body. her powers came about randomly, she was at a a haunted house with some friends and the loudest, skin crawling scream came out of her, knocking some of the workers through a wall. this wasn't natural and her mother didn't want to get her tested, so they kept it a secret.

[jacob reece lysander] - as an only child, carrie was close to both her parents growing up, she was definitely a daddy's girl though. his death took a huge toll on her life.
